“If time is a dream… then she was always there, wasn’t she? From the moment I took my first breath… till the end of the world. Always at my side—offering me love and wisdom, companionship and challenge. My wife, my lover, my best friend.
She reaches out to me and I feel the comfort of her hand in mine. The heat of her passion, the radiance of her heart—as our two bodies dissolve. As two souls—become one.
Maybe I’m dead already. Maybe my consciousness is burning out—even as my flesh is consumed in the core of a dying star. Or maybe this is something more. Something even death doesn’t understand.
Maybe this feeling we share, Lois and I, is the doorway into a place that transcends death and life, earth and krypton.”
Superman: Where is thy Sting?

This image popped up on Fuck Yeah! Lois Lane a while ago with an awesome quote from the comics. Which was pretty awesome. And to mix it with this image from the trailer was pretty cool. But I wondered about this quote. Obviously it came from the comic, “Superman: Where is thy Sting?” But what exactly is this comic? Is it a good comic or is this quote the only thing good about it? I had to know.

So, I downloaded the comic in question which took a while (partially why it has taken so long to get this one posted). I realized immediately that I had read this comic before. But I didn’t remember much about it, so I re-read it again. And y’know what I found – crap. That’s what I found. The story is a christian sermon gone wrong. To be honest, the only people who could understand WTF is going on would be anyone higher than a kite. Still, this was the comic that birthed that awesome quote so I pressed on.

Finally, I came across the page that included the words from the quote. Finally, I could stop reading this clap-trap. I was very grateful to stop. Still, I think you will enjoy seeing where Fuck Yeah! Lois Lane got their quote. Enjoy:

the page with the quote

My god, the page even looks like a religious document! Either that or some kind of bad porno. I am not sure which one though. If I was the editor of Superman, I wouldn’t have let this comic go out. But then again, I am NOT the editor of Superman and it DOES exist. And is available for purchase if you so choose. But I wouldn’t suggest it.

Still, it made an awfully nice quote, now didn’t it?
